The Hunter Valley - So Much to See!

The Hunter Valley is Australia’s oldest wine region and a haven for food and wine enthusiasts. The area has over 200 years of winemaking history and boasts over 150 wineries, with McGuigan Wines being one of its most popular cellar doors. Every year the popular Hunter Valley Wine and Food Festival highlights the region’s flavours and culinary talent.

A must-visit attraction, close to McGuigan Wines is Hunter Valley Gardens. Created over four years by Bill and Imelda Roche and a dedicated team of over 40 landscape gardeners, architects and engineers, Hunter Valley Gardens opened in 2003.

These magnificent gardens feature eight kilometres of walking paths winding their way through 14 hectares of gardens with over 6000 trees, 600,000 shrubs and over a million ground cover plants. Every year, locals and visitors come to enjoy the Christmas Lights Spectacular when the gardens transform into a magical world of colour, light and fun.
