Sit back and relax as we make our way to O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards for lunch, wine tasting and spend time with the friendly alpacas. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to Lamington National Park, part of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. After we settle in, take time to explore and capture a magical sunset before meeting for dinner.
For the early risers and avid bird watchers, take a self-guided early morning bird walk to see the feathered locals. Following breakfast, we will join our guide for a privately guided tree top canopy walk. Stroll across nine footbridges suspended 45 feet (16 metres) in the air for a unique perspective of the subtropical rainforest. A guide will point out highlights of the diverse ecosystem and help identify unique species of flora and fauna. We tour through rainforest and various eco- systems stopping at incredible lookouts located within World Heritage listed Lamington National Park.

This morning, visit Tropical Fruit World for a guided safari tour through a 200-acre plantation, learning about and tasting tropical fruits. Then, head to Byron Bay to ride the world’s first Solar Train, a restored 1949-era train powered by solar energy. Enjoy vintage lounge seats and scenic views of rainforest, wetlands, and Belongil Creek. After lunch in Byron Bay, enjoy some relaxation time to explore local shops, boutiques, or perhaps visit the famous beach for a dip in the ocean.
We leave the coast and head to Brisbane’s South Bank Precinct. Our first stop is the Wheel of Brisbane, offering 360-degree views of the city from 60 meters up in air-conditioned gondolas. Enjoy leisure time at South Bank Parklands before transferring to our Brisbane City hotel for an overnight stay.

Heron Island is a National Marine Park situated in the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. This area is a significant nesting location for two threatened sea turtle species, the Green Turtle and the Loggerhead Turtle. Our tour to Heron Island is in the height of baby Green and Loggerhead Turtle hatching season. During hatching season, turtle hatchlings will erupt from their nests between 25 to 50 metres from shore and make their way to the reef, just beyond the water’s edge. Heron Island is a true coral cay and is ribboned by white sands, crystal clear waters and acres of coral with beautifully coloured marine life. The emphasis is on enjoying natural beauty.
