Our carbon neutral flights arrive into Cairns, where we board our opulent ‘Diamond Class’ coach or luxurious ‘Gold Class’ coach, ensuring responsible travel with 100% offset coach emissions. Browse the famous markets at Kuranda Village and savour the local produce. Then regroup and board the Kuranda Scenic Rail. Our journey takes us through the ancient rainforests, dramatic gorges, and UNESCO World Heritage listed landscapes of Queensland’s tropical north. We transfer from Freshwater Station to our accommodation.

This morning we depart Cairns, heading south to the charming village of Yungaburra. We continue on to Herberton Historic Village, a fascinating open-air museum with over 50 restored period buildings, including a blacksmith’s shop, a functioning schoolhouse, and a charming general store. Afterwards, we drive further west through the Atherton Tablelands, stretching our legs at Mount Surprise before arriving in Georgetown.
Departing Georgetown, we stop by the shores of Lake Belmore in Croydon. We then visit Diehm’s Lookout and the popular True Blue Information Centre. After lunch, we continue our journey, stopping at the ‘Purple Pub’ for a drink with the locals before heading to Karumba.
Enjoy an enlightening visit to the Barramundi Discovery Centre, where we delve into the intriguing world of barramundi fish. Later, step aboard a sunset dinner cruise and glide through the Gulf’s pristine waters. As the sun sets on the sand island, relish Gulf prawns, nibbles and drinks while absorbing the breathtaking Gulf sunset.
This morning we travel to Blackbull to board the Gulflander for a scenic rail journey through the Gulf Savannah bushland. We disembark at Croydon, enjoying lunch before continuing to Georgetown to visit the Terrestrial Centre, a stunning collection of over 4500 specimens. Our next stop is Forsayth, where we break before transferring to Cobbold Gorge.
Begin your day with an exhilarating helicopter flight, soaring above the breathtaking expanse of the Gulf Savannah region. Next, venture across the glass bridge and embark on a serene electric-powered boat cruise through the gorge. Glide in near-silent tranquillity, minimising disruptions to the local wildlife. Enjoy a delicious lunch and unwind in the idyllic ambiance of this stunning location.
Leaving Cobbold Gorge, we travel to Einasleigh to embark on the Savannahlander rail journey to Mount Surprise, where we re-join our coach for a transfer to Undara, settling into this restored turn-of-the-century resort.
Start the day with a bush breakfast. This morning we team up with a knowledgeable local Savannah guide for an unforgettable journey through the Undara Lava Tubes, ancient formations created over 190,000 years ago, by seismic forces and preserved as natural marvels. Later, our adventure continues as we traverse the picturesque Atherton Tablelands on our way back to Cairns, soaking in the scenic beauty of this captivating region.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we board a third-party coach for transfer to Cairns Airport for our respective carbon neutral flights home.

Heron Island is a National Marine Park situated in the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. This area is a significant nesting location for two threatened sea turtle species, the Green Turtle and the Loggerhead Turtle. Our tour to Heron Island is in the height of baby Green and Loggerhead Turtle hatching season. During hatching season, turtle hatchlings will erupt from their nests between 25 to 50 metres from shore and make their way to the reef, just beyond the water’s edge. Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
