Departing from Brisbane Coach Terminal, we board our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach travelling responsibly knowing all coach emissions are 100% offset, and travel via Toowoomba. Our afternoon takes us to Goondiwindi in time for lunch. This afternoon we join Goondiwindi Cotton to take us behind the scenes for a guided tour of the town and visit to Goondiwindi Cotton’s working cotton farm - ‘Alcheringa’. Along the way, take in the Gunsynd Memorial, Custom’s House Museum and finish the tour at the fashion house.
This morning we venture through country townships of Moree and Narrabri. We stop for a cuppa before continuing to Coonabarabran in time for lunch. Our afternoon takes us to Dubbo, where we bed down for the night.
First up, while it’s cooler, spend the morning at Taronga Western Plains Zoo and experience guided Savannah Safari tour. The zoo is an open-range design, with walls and fences replaced by concealed moats which divide the animals from the visitors. This creates the impression of actually being with the animals in the wild. Following lunch at the zoo, we are back on the road making our way to Cowra.
Today we make our way to the Cowra Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre to explore the gardens before heading to Poppa’s Fudge and Jam Factory for a visit. The afternoon takes us to the fabulous Cherry Festival for quirky and colourful festivities including farmers markets, car show, busking competitions and dog trials.
Lunch is at your own expense today at the festival.
We begin our day heading to Bathurst, where we take our coach on a spin of the Mt Panorama Circuit (events depending). We embark on a journey to the tranquil Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, where we break for lunch before heading to the picturesque Hunter Valley for our stay.
After breakfast, we journey through the picturesque Hunter wine region to visit a renowned Thoroughbred Horse Stud near Denman. Enjoy an exclusive guided tour with Craig Benjamin, offering an insider’s perspective on the thoroughbred racing industry. During spring foaling season, witness the next generation of champions as they take their first steps. After lunch, we return to the Hunter Valley and visit the Pokolbin Estate Vineyard for a wine and cheese matching experience, where you can savour the region’s finest produce. Enjoy a relaxing free afternoon before the evening’s highlight: the breathtaking Hunter Valley Christmas Lights Spectacular, a dazzling display to conclude the day.
We leave the Hunter Valley on route through Lake Cathie to Forster, then we explore Wallis Lake. Delight in an eco-friendly lunch cruise featuring a freshly prepared two course meal, accompanied by insightful commentary about the local ecosystem. Keep an eye out for dolphins, turtles, and diverse birdlife as we glide through crystal-clear waters. Our afternoon ventures to Port Macquarie, promising an evening of coastal delights and relaxation.
Heading for home today, we travel through picturesque Coffs Harbour stopping off for a cuppa before continuing to Yamba for lunch. We continue our return to the Brisbane Coach Terminal.
