Departing Brisbane Coach Terminal aboard our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach, we make our way via Gympie to River Heads. Here we board the ferry to K’gari (Fraser Island) where we are met and transferred to our accommodation.
We are off by 4WD to explore the island’s rainforests, eucalypt woodland, mangrove forests, wallum and peat swamps, sand dunes and coastal heaths. Our guided tour will tell tales of the tribes that occupied the paradise of K’gari (Fraser Island) at least 5000 years ago. As we discover the world’s largest sand island, our off-road adventure has us tackling inland bumps and humps as we travel past towering Satinay trees, followed by a stroll along the boardwalk through the majestic beauty of rainforests and rare plant life. Visit iconic sights like Eli Creek, ancient rainforests, 75 Mile Beach, and the Maheno Shipwreck on an award-winning 4WD adventure. We also stop off at picturesque Lake McKenzie for a swim in the water which shines sapphire blue, surrounded with shores of snow-white sand.
**4WD tour is not suitable for passengers with back and/or neck injury due to certain parts of the track being rugged and jerky.
Leisure Day – Relax and explore at your own pace. Today is yours to enjoy as you please—whether that means unwinding by the resort’s pool or indulging in a rejuvenating spa treatment (optional). We’ll come together to share a delicious lunch and dinner as a group, then tonight, experience the new Illumina ‘Return to Sky’ light show.
Enjoy a relaxed and leisurely breakfast this morning, before we bid farewell to our stay. After breakfast, we board the ferry back to River Heads, where our ‘Gold Class’ coach awaits to continue our journey. Our next stop is the renowned Eumundi Markets, one of Australia’s most famous artisan markets. Wander through the vibrant stalls, discovering a treasure trove of handcrafted goods, unique artworks and locally produced gourmet delights. Afterwards, we regroup and board the coach for our journey home. We arrive back to the Brisbane Coach Terminal late afternoon.
**Lunch is at your own expense today.
