We depart from the Brisbane Coach Terminal on our opulent ‘Diamond Class’ coach, travelling responsibly knowing all coach emissions are 100% offset. Sit back and relax as we head towards the picturesque Fraser Coast, travelling via Gympie Duck Ponds. Continuing to River Heads, we enjoy a delicious lunch before boarding the ferry to K’gari (Fraser Island). Upon arrival, we check into Kingfisher Bay Resort, nestled among native bushland and overlooking the Great Sandy Strait. This evening, enjoy the mesmerising Illumina Return to Sky show, an extraordinary light and sound spectacle that highlights the natural beauty and cultural heritage of K’gari.
Today, we embark on a full-day 4WD safari to explore K’gari’s highlights. Our ranger guide provides informative commentary about the island’s history, flora, and fauna. In a 4WD coach, we navigate inland terrain, passing through towering Satinay trees, lush forests, and picturesque sand dunes, stopping to enjoy stunning views. We’llswim in pristine lakes, explore ancient rainforests, and visit iconic spots like Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek, Seventy-Five Mile Beach, Central Station, Wanggoolba Creek, and the Maheno shipwreck. Learn about the diverse wildlife and visit the colourful sand cliffs of the Pinnacles, where you’ll hear local Aboriginal legends.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before checking out from the resort and taking the ferry back to River Heads. Wethen re-board our coach and continue our journey north, stopping in Gin Gin for lunch, then travelling through Rockhampton before concluding our day at our accommodation in Parkhurst.
Our first stop today is St Lawrence, one of the oldest towns on the Queensland Coast. Refreshed, we continue to the Sarina Sugar Shed for lunch before we take a guided tour. Learn about the fascinating sugar production process in this miniature sugar mill and boutique distillery. Stories of regional sugar cane pioneers and modern farming methods come to life with an expert guide who will take you on a journey through the early back-breaking days of sugar cane farming, right up to the current methods. Watch demonstrations of machinery, taste fresh sugar cane juice, and sample various sweet treats, including their famous rum and liquors. Our final leg takes us to Mackay for an overnight stay.
An early start getting up and about before dawn to witness the wallabies and kangaroos at Cape Hillsborough National Park. This sunrise tour is an iconic wildlife experience, where Eastern Grey Kangaroos and Agile Wallabies come onto the beach to feed on mangrove seed pods. Nowhere else in the wild will you get so close, and such a wonderful opportunity to capture a magical moment of sunrise on the beach with our national symbol. Continuing our adventure, we drive along the picturesque Hibiscus Coast, enjoying the scenic views of lush rainforests, sugar cane fields, and coastal views. We arrive at the Whitsundays mid-morning and experience the thrill of a crocodile safari cruise and explore lush wetlands. Spot saltwater crocs in their natural habitat, discover unique wildlife, and savour a delicious BBQ lunch before making our way to our hotel.
Today we enjoy the Big Island Day Tour departing from Shute Harbour, cruising through the Molle group of islands and crossing the Whitsunday Passage into Cid Harbour. The tour continues through Hook Passage, anchoring at Tongue Point to explore Hill Inlet before heading across to the renowned Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy the powder-white silica sands and crystal-clear waters of Whitehaven Beach, as you relax on the beach, swim, or take a stroll to the lookout. Our tour to Heron Island is in the height of baby Green and Loggerhead Turtle hatching season. During hatching season, turtle hatchlings will erupt from their nests between 25 to 50 metres from shore and make their way to the reef, just beyond the water’s edge. Heron Island is a true coral cay and is ribboned by white sands, crystal clear waters and acres of coral with beautifully coloured marine life. The emphasis is on enjoying natural beauty.
