Our flights arrive into Newcastle where we board our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach, then we enjoy a leisurely lunch before making our way into the Hunter Valley.
This morning we depart the Hunter Valley and journey to the coast to join Moonshadow Cruises for a private charter dolphin-spotting cruise. Relax onboard for 1.5 hours as we glide through pristine coastal waters, keeping watch for playful dolphins in their natural habitat while enjoying the comfort and exclusivity of our private cruise. Following our cruise, we head ashore for a leisurely seaside lunch, soaking up the fresh ocean air and coastal ambiance before returning to our resort. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. As evening falls, embrace the festive spirit with a visit to the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular. Wander through dazzling displays of colour, twinkling lights and festive scenes that transform the gardens into a magical Christmas wonderland.
After breakfast, we journey through the picturesque Hunter wine region to visit a renowned Thoroughbred Horse Stud near Denman. Enjoy an exclusive guided tour with Craig Benjamin, offering an insider’s perspective on the thoroughbred racing industry. During spring foaling season, witness the next generation of champions as they take their first steps. After lunch, we return to the Hunter Valley and visit the Pokolbin Estate Vineyard for a wine and cheese matching experience, where you can savour the region’s finest produce.
Leaving the Hunter Valley, we embark on a scenic drive before arriving in the Hawkesbury. Here we board the Riverboat Postman and travel to Dangar Island. Merry Christmas! This morning we enjoy a short scenic drive to take in the breathtaking views from the Three Sisters Lookout and Govetts Leap. We then return to the Fairmont to prepare for an adults-only Christmas Day celebration and festive feast. Settle in for a joyful afternoon of fresh seafood and traditional favourites, beautifully paired with fine wine, great company, and Christmas cheer.
This morning we farewell the Blue Mountains and travel to Sydney, just in time to experience one of Australia’s most iconic sporting spectacles – the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Join the excitement as the city comes alive for race day. We board our luxury cruise vessel for a Sydney Harbour lunch cruise, positioning us perfectly on the water to soak up the atmosphere and, conditions permitting, witness the thrilling race start as the magnificent yachts set sail from Sydney Harbour on their epic journey south. Following our cruise, we disembark and check in to our centrally located hotel, with time to freshen up and relax. Tonight, we celebrate the conclusion of our journey with a memorable farewell dinner at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth — a fitting finale to our holiday together as we toast new friendships and reflect on the wonderful moments shared.
Enjoy a farewell breakfast before boarding a local operator’s coach where we take a driving tour to take in views of Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and Kings Cross before breaking for free time for lunch at famous Bondi Beach. We are then transferred to Sydney Airport for our respective flights home.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
