Our Carbon Neutral flights take us in to Newcastle airport to board our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach and make our way to join a 1-hour tour on the famous tram. We discover the city, iconic beaches and historical sites then travel on to the picturesque Hunter Valley.
This morning we make a visit to the Maitland Gaol and learn some of its 150 year history on a guided tour with a former inmate. After lunch we discover the immaculately tended Hunter Valley Gardens before resting up then returning to the gardens in the evening for the 10th annual Christmas Lights Spectacular when the gardens are transformed with over 2 million lights on display. Our evening includes a sumptuous Christmas dinner on the Garden Terrace.
Departing the Hunter Valley we head to Brooklyn at the lower end of the Hawkesbury River where we take to the water. Our cruise includes a guided tour of historic Dangar Island and also takes in the township of Brooklyn and the settlements of Wobby Beach and Cogra Bay with wonderful views of the ocean. Back on solid ground we head to the lofty heights, and cooler climate of the Blue Mountains.
Discover the amazing limestone crystal formations in the Jenolan Caves when we take a guided tour of the Imperial Cave following an ancient river passage (this path is mostly level, with short sets of stairs). After lunch at historic Caves House we take the indigenous surface walking tour ‘Shaping Waters’ and learn how the Gundungurra people utilised the caves.
Merry Christmas! This morning we take a short scenic drive to the Three Sisters lookout, and Govetts Leap lookout. We then return to the Fairmont to get ready for a gala Christmas Day celebration and festive feast. Enjoy every moment of this special day and savour the delights of fresh seafood, traditional fare and fine wine.
Join in the thrill today as all of Sydney and its visitors come out to witness an Australian iconic event – the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race! Boarding our luxury Captain Cook vessel for a Sydney Harbour lunch cruise, we will be in the vicinity and most likely be able to witness the action around the start of one of the world’s greatest sailing events.
The vibrant regional city of Bathurst is our first stop today where we take a circuit of Mount Panorama before arriving at Abercrombie House for a tour and morning tea. This gothic mansion is a heritage treasure of the Bathurst region, built in the 1870’s by Bathurst pioneers the Stewart family. After lunch in Orange we arrive in Dubbo to visit the state heritage listed Old Dubbo Gaol. See history come to life in this remarkably complete and intact gaol which was built in 1847 and now houses an eerie silence and many intriguing stories.
This morning we begin at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo enjoying a guided wildlife zoofari where we get an up-close look at some of the zoo’s most famous residents. We continue on to lunch in Coonabarabran then travel through Narrabri and Moree to Goondiwindi.
This morning we take a tour of Goondiwindi, learning about the local cotton industry. We then travel to Toowoomba, breaking for lunch with a view at Picnic Point. We arrive back into Brisbane at approximately 4.30pm.

Heron Island is a National Marine Park situated in the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. This area is a significant nesting location for two threatened sea turtle species, the Green Turtle and the Loggerhead Turtle.
Our over 50’s tour to Heron Island is in the height of baby Green and Loggerhead Turtle hatching season. During hatching season, turtle hatchlings will erupt from their nests between 25 to 50 metres from shore and make their way to the reef, just beyond the water’s edge.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
