Departing Brisbane Coach Terminal aboard our luxury 'Gold Class' coach, we journey into the picturesque Sunshine Coast Hinterland to Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World, where we enjoy a Devonshire morning tea, explore the spectacular landscaped gardens by pre-arranged buggy, meet the friendly farm animals and step inside the interactive walk-through aviaries. We then continue north to Mon Repos on the Southern Great Barrier Reef, our beachfront base for the next two nights. After settling in, enjoy some free time to explore the beautiful coastal surrounds, take a leisurely stroll along the beach, relax by the resort or simply unwind and soak up the laid-back atmosphere of this special seaside location.
Enjoy a full-day eco-adventure to Lady Musgrave Island aboard the luxury Reef Empress catamaran, cruising to this spectacular coral cay and lagoon on the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Discover the island on a guided walk, snorkel among vibrant marine life, take a glass-bottom boat tour, and relax on the eco-pontoon, complete with underwater observatory and sun lounges. Morning and afternoon tea, gourmet buffet lunch and all snorkelling equipment are included.
After a leisurely breakfast, we visit Monsoon Aquatics Coral Farm for a fascinating behind-the-scenes experience, learning about coral propagation and restoration and the important work helping support the future of our reefs. As part of our Purposeful Travel Promise, Fun Over 50 Holidays will also make a Green Bank donation during our visit. We then continue to the iconic Bundaberg Rum Distillery for a guided distillery tour, before enjoying a relaxed riverside lunch at Grunske's by the River overlooking the Burnett River. This afternoon, we travel north to the coastal township of Agnes Water, where we settle in for a relaxing two-night stay.
This morning, we board the iconic pink LARC for a memorable amphibious adventure through Eurimbula National Park, travelling along pristine coastline, crossing tidal creeks and venturing across remote beaches to Queensland's only operating lighthouse tower open to the public. Enjoy a guided visit to the restored lightkeepers' cottage and museum, then embrace a little fun with sandboarding down the towering 35-metre dunes of Middle Island. Along the way, keep watch for local wildlife while taking in the spectacular beaches, waterways and coastal scenery. Tonight, we come together for our island-style finale evening. Dress to theme and enjoy a fun and relaxed celebration as we toast the wonderful experiences and memories shared along the way.

After a relaxing breakfast, we slowly make our way home. Along the way, we stop in the historic town of Childers, a charming country town known for its heritage buildings and fascinating past. Here, we take time to visit the Palace Backpackers Memorial, a moving tribute to those who tragically lost their lives in the devastating 2000 fire. The memorial provides a quiet opportunity to reflect and remember the lives affected by this heartbreaking event. We then continue south towards Gympie, where we pause for a hearty lunch and enjoy some time to relax before the final stretch of our journey. We bring our coastal adventure to a close, returning home with wonderful memories of the places we visited, the experiences we shared, and the beautiful moments enjoyed along the way. We arrive back to the Brisbane Coach Terminal late afternoon.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
