Your journey begins with a warm Fun Over 50 Holidays welcome at Brisbane Domestic Airport and Roma Street Coach Terminal. Please ensure your morning flights arrive in time to meet our friendly tour hostess and fellow guests by 9:30am, with your luggage in hand and smiles ready! Once aboard our ‘Diamond Class’ or ‘Gold Class’ coach, travelling responsibly with 100% offset emissions, we set off on a scenic orientation drive past tranquil pockets like Slaughter Falls and the Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha before stopping at the summit lookout for sweeping views from the city skyline to the coastline beyond a perfect photo opportunity. Next, it’s time to indulge your senses with a French-inspired welcome lunch at a stunning riverside venue. Sip on fine wine or sparkling water as you savour classic French cuisine with decadent desserts while gazing out over the Brisbane River and the graceful span of the Story Bridge. Following lunch, we’ll make our way to Lamington National Park, part of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. After we settle in, take time to explore and capture a magical sunset before meeting for dinner.
For the early risers and avid bird watchers, take a self-guided early morning bird walk to see the feathered locals. Following breakfast, we will join our guide for a privately guided tree top canopy walk. Stroll across nine footbridges suspended 45 feet (16 metres) in the air for a unique perspective of the subtropical rainforest. A guide will point out highlights of the diverse ecosystem and help identify unique species of flora and fauna. After lunch at the retreat, we join a Birds of Prey live show before embarking on an afternoon 4WD tour—a fabulous way to see the wonders surrounding this plateau. We tour through rainforest and various eco-systems, stopping at incredible lookouts located within World Heritage listed Lamington National Park.
After enjoying breakfast at leisure, we farewell our tranquil rainforest retreat and begin our descent from the scenic heights of the Lamington Plateau. Journeying toward the sparkling Gold Coast, we board Sea World Cruises for a relaxing seafood lunch cruise. Glide through the shimmering waterways and see how the rich and famous live, with stunning views of luxurious waterfront homes and superyachts. After lunch, we continue north to Brisbane and check in to our hotel. There’s time to refresh and unwind before tonight’s grand event—The Edinburgh Military Tattoo, experienced in true Fun Over 50 Holidays VIP style. We head to South Bank, Brisbane’s riverside playground, where we take to the skies aboard the Wheel of Brisbane. Soak up sweeping city and river views from the comfort of a climate-controlled gondola—it’s a picture-perfect way to see the sights from above. From here, we make our way to the iconic Greek Club for our grand finalé lunch. A joyous affair, feast on a lavish banquet of traditional Greek dishes all served with true Mediterranean generosity. It’s not just a meal; it’s a celebration! Get ready to clap, stomp, and dance along with vibrant Greek music and traditional dancing as we wrap up the tour with a little OPA! flair. We then transfer guests to Brisbane Domestic Airport (please book flights after 3:00pm), followed by Roma Street Coach Terminal drop-off.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests. Other tour types may have different capacities depending on the transport and destination. Please get in touch with our team if you have any questions about a specific tour.
