We make our way from Adelaide Airport for a scenic drive south through Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis, making our way over to Kangaroo Island for a 2-Night stay via ferry transfers. Whilst on Kangaroo Island we experience Seal Bay Conservation Park, a birds of prey show and guided tour visiting over 600rare Australian sea lions. From here we travel to Murray Bridge and board the Proud Mary for our 7-Night cruise. On board we enjoy guided nocturnal tours, Lock 1 at Blanchetown, enjoy a Christmas day feast with all the trimmings and light entertainment followed by a visit to the painted silo's moving on to Morgan. Today we experience a guided tour of the lagoons and inlets of Big Bend. We experience a historical Aboriginal site - Ngaut Ngaut were we experience carvings and paintings of cliff faces as we cruise downstream to arrive at Mannum. Tonight, we enjoy a Captains Dinner onboard the Proud Mary and wake up early to experience the delights of the ancient Mganguruku and Ngaralta tribes.

Fly Carbon Neutral into Adelaide, where we head to Glenelg for lunch before making the scenic drive south through the Fleurieu Peninsula to Cape Jervis, boarding the ferry for Kangaroo Island.
Discover Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch before experiencing the Birds of Prey at Raptor Domain. After lunch, we take in the scenery as we drive to Seal Bay Conservation Park, where Australian sea lions sunbathe and frolic on a stunning beach. We take a guided walk to get a close look at the sealion colony, home to around 600 rare Australian sea lions.
This morning we make a stop at Cape Willoughby Lighthouse enroute to Dudley Wines, sampling some of the wine and taking in lunch before boarding the ferry to the mainland and breaking in Victor Harbor. From here we travel to Murray Bridge to a warm welcome as we board the Proud Mary for our 7 night cruise.
Cruising upstream we arrive midmorning in picturesque Mannum. Here we join a local guide and take a coach tour of the heritage sights of Mannum. We re-board Proud Mary for lunch, then continue cruising upstream to Walker Flat. Tonight, enjoy ‘Australiana Night’ featuring typically Australian dishes prepared by the talented onboard chef. After dinner we take a guided nocturnal discovery tour, giving us an insight to the abundant wildlife in this region, including the southern hairy-nosed wombat. Tonight’s mooring is at Walker Flat.
Proud Mary departs Walker Flat and cruises further upstream. This morning there will be an informative talk by the Proud Mary Captain on the Majestic Murray River before a lovely lunch is served on board. Mid-afternoon, you will experience one of the many highlights of your cruise as you pass through Lock 1 at Blanchetown. The Proud Mary moors overnight amongst the towering River Red Gums where you have a delicious dinner on board. Tonight, is a chance to get the competitive juices flowing with a night of trivia.
Merry Christmas! Depart your tranquil overnight mooring cruising toward Morgan. Santa may even make a special appearance while you cruise. As we head towards Morgan you will enjoy a delicious Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings. After lunch you will board the Proud Mary coach to visit Waikerie, here you will see the painted silos and heritage sites of this riverside town. Re-join the Proud Mary and enjoy a light dinner with a relaxed evening on board.
We explore the historic town of Morgan, and tour the many heritage sights of this once booming riverside town. Once back on board we head back through Lock 1 to moor at Sugar Shack. Enjoy a fantastic game of ‘Bingo’ following a delicious dinner prepared by our resident chefs.
Join the Captain for an early morning walk learning about the history of the area and also visit an authentic canoe tree. Cruising on further we secure at Swan Reach to take a coach tour to visit the Swan Reach Museum and Almond Farm plantations. Relax over lunch as we cruise to Big Bend through the spectacular cliffs. This afternoon take another guided tour aboard a smaller boat through the lagoons and inlets of Big Bend. This evening will be a gourmet barbeque on shore followed by live entertainment.
We continue downstream through some of the most spectacular scenery on the entire river system to arrive at Ngaut Ngaut – a historical Aboriginal site. Join an Aboriginal tour guide to see the carvings and paintings on cliff faces. We cruise on downstream and arrive at Mannum to explore the township. Tonight, is the formal Captain’s Dinner where we enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by a stunning 5-course formal dinner.
This morning at Woodlane we join our guide for a tour of this fascinating area and discover the permanent watercourse, waterfalls, swamps and wetlands which played a significant role in the lives of the ancient Nganguruku and Ngaralta tribes. This afternoon we enjoy some more spectacular scenery before returning to Murray Bridge, bidding the Proud Mary goodbye and transferring to Adelaide.
Our morning starts with a city tour of Adelaide, taking in North Terrace Cultural Boulevard, the Adelaide Oval and St Peter’s Cathedral. We then head to Mount Lofty Summit for an unforgettable view of the city and surrounds before making our way to the airport for our Carbon Neutral flights home.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
