Our carbon neutral flights arrive into Adelaide where we board a third-party coach, ensuring responsible travel with 100% offset flight & coach emissions. We make our way to the Mount Lofty summit before heading to Australia’s oldest German settlement, Hahndorf, for lunch. We then make our way into Adelaide CBD to check in.
From Adelaide, we journey through the scenic Fleurieu Peninsula before reaching Cape Jervis. From there, we take a ferry to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island and head to False Cape Wines for wine tasting and a shared platter lunch. We watch a sheep shearing and dog demonstration before heading to Pennington Bay for a picturesque photo stop to capture the bay’s breathtaking beauty. We continue to Clifford’s Honey Farm before checking in to our hotel for the next 3 nights.
Today we embark on a guided tour of Kangaroo Island Wool, where we learn about the island’s wool industry and the fascinating process behind the production of fine wool products. We make our way to Emu Bay Lavender Farm for a relaxing lunch before visiting Raptor Domain for an exhilarating Birds of Prey Show. The day wraps up with a visit to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, where we encounter a variety of native animals.
Our day begins at Flinders Chase National Park, where we marvel at the iconic Remarkable Rocks and the striking Admirals Arch. After enjoying lunch at the Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, our day ends with a visit to Seal Bay Conservation Park, where a guided beach walk brings us close to a thriving colony of Australian sea lions.
This morning we transfer to Penneshaw for our ferry back to Cape Jervis, making our way to Murray Bridge to board the Proud Mary.
Our cruise travels upstream as you enjoy a delicious breakfast before arriving in Mannum, the birthplace of the river boat trade. Here we board a coach for a tour of the area. Lunch will be served aboard the Proud Mary as we continue upstream to Walkers Flat. This evening is ‘Australiana Night’, featuring typically Australian dishes, followed by a guided Nocturnal Discovery Tour — an insight into abundant wildlife including the Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat.
After breakfast, we arrive at Swan Reach and board a coach for a tour to Costa Brothers Almond Farm and Swan Reach Museum, which is housed in the original school building that was built in 1917. Re-join Proud Mary for lunch where we will cruise through the shallows up to lock 1 at Blanchetown. Our cruise this evening takes us to Sugar Shack, part of the River Murray International Dark Sky Reserve which is an astronomer’s paradise. Trivia night tonight, let the games begin!
This morning we enjoy a discovery walk of Sugar Shack to understand the importance of the flood plains to the river system. We re-join the Proud Mary and cruise downstream to Swan Reach where we will visit the town and craft shop. After re-joining Proud Mary for lunch, we cruise to Big Bend. A highlight of this expedition is a guided cruise lead by an ecologist aboard a small boat through the lagoons and inlets of Big Bend. This evening enjoy a traditional Australian barbeque on shore followed by live Aussie entertainment around a campfire.
Watch the sunrise over the towering cliffs this morning with an early departure to the Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Conservation Area where we are met by a local Aboriginal guide and shown one of Australia’s first Aboriginal archaeological digs. From here, Proud Mary will be serving lunch while cruising downstream through Bowhill to Mannum with a late afternoon arrival in Mannum for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a formal Captain’s Dinner.
Following breakfast, we depart for Woodlane and board a coach for a tour of Aussie Apricots and Revolution Motor Museum. Today, lunch is superbly prepared using fresh local produce. This afternoon there will be more spectacular scenery before the vessel ties up once more in Murray Bridge, and the captain and crew bid farewell to guests. We board the coach and make our way to Adelaide.
Our morning starts with a city tour of Adelaide before making our way to Adelaide Airport for our respective carbon neutral flights home.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
