As a responsible tour operator, we are committed to sustainable and eco-conscious travel experiences. This morning, we’ll take you out on the 1770 LARC, where we actively participate in cleaning up litter and debris from coastal areas. This not only helps protect precious marine ecosystems and wildlife but also promotes public health by removing harmful pollutants from our environment. Moreover, our efforts aim to raise awareness about the critical importance of preserving our oceans. Following our morning conservation activities, we’ll gather at Agnes Water Tavern for a satisfying meal, supporting local businesses that share our commitment to responsible tourism. Afterward, you’ll have some free time in the afternoon to explore and enjoy the beautiful surroundings at your leisure.
Today we visit exclusive Quoin Island, an animal-lover’s paradise and home to Central Queensland’s Quoin Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre (QITRC). Our day starts with a scenic 30-minute ferry trip to Quoin Island. Nestled within Gladstone harbour the island features beautiful private beaches, native landscape and glorious views of Gladstone and its surrounds. Enjoy a Turtle Rehabilitation Centre tour including a talk on our operation, feeding, assisting the volunteers with prepping food and cleaning tanks. Upon returning to the mainland, we set on our journey back to Agnes Waters.
Homeward bound this morning, we make our way to Yandina stopping at Yandina Ginger Factory where we enjoy a tour and tasting experience followed by a ride on the Ginger train. This afternoon we make our way to Mary Caincross Scenic Reserve visiting the Rainforest Discovery Centre followed by a stop at the lookout before heading back to the Brisbane Coach Terminal.

Heron Island is a National Marine Park situated in the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. This area is a significant nesting location for two threatened sea turtle species, the Green Turtle and the Loggerhead Turtle.
Our over 50’s tour to Heron Island is in the height of baby Green and Loggerhead Turtle hatching season. During hatching season, turtle hatchlings will erupt from their nests between 25 to 50 metres from shore and make their way to the reef, just beyond the water’s edge.
Heron Island is a true coral cay and is ribboned by white sands, crystal clear waters and acres of coral with beautifully coloured marine life. The emphasis is on enjoying natural beauty. Stress is replaced by adventure, and your days are filled with discovery.
