Depart on our luxury ‘Gold Class’ coach from the Brisbane CBD and travel responsibly knowing all coach emissions are 100% offset. We travel via the Tweed River, breaking at Kingscliff and then onward through the picturesque Northern Rivers, breaking for lunch before finishing our day at Port Macquarie.
This morning we visit the Koala Hospital in the grounds of the Macquarie Nature Reserve for a ‘Feed, Walk & Talk’ tour. This hospital was inundated with injured koalas after the recent bushfires that affected the nature reserve. Late morning it is “all aboard” on a cruise discovering the Hastings River. Relax and unwind as we explore the tranquil waters in Port Macquarie, often seeing dolphins, turtles, osprey, and sea eagles. This afternoon, take time to discover Port Macquarie itself with time to browse the various shops, grab a coffee or sundowner drink.
This morning we make our way to the Hunter Valley, enjoying a lunch of local produce before stopping at McGuigan’s Wines for a behind the scenes wine making tour.
This morning we visit Tocal Homestead for a guided tour of this beautiful heritage site. Hear stories of the characters and activities at Tocal over the past 200 years. See the famous barn the colonial architect designed, hear about a lad who went on to become Captain Thunderbolt. Our afternoon is spent in Maitland where we take a guided tour of heritage listed Maitland Gaol. Once housing some of Australia’s most hardened and notorious criminals, today the Gaol has unlocked the gates for us to explore the site. Our evening takes us to the Hunter Valley Gardens for the annual Christmas Lights Spectacular where over 2 million lights are on display and our evening includes a sumptuous Christmas dinner on the Garden Terrace.
Departing the Hunter Valley, we make our way to the Central Coast where we join local historian for a Broken Bay and Lower Hawkesbury River Cruise. We cruise and pause at various historic sites along these wondrous waterways, listen to the live commentary and view the fascinating AV presentation of graphics, site and historic photos, animations, videos of operating models and other works by awarded historian, Peter A. Rea. Most of these sites are very difficult if not impossible to access other than by water. Enjoy a waterfront lunch before we are back on the road heading up into the Blue Mountains.
This morning discovers Scenic World where our Ultimate Pass takes us riding the Scenic Skyway, with its 360° views of Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters, and the Jamison Valley. We will take the Cableway into the valley then ride the railway and discover the tranquillity of ancient rainforest as we are guided through the Rainforest Walkway. At the historic Hydro Majestic Hotel, we enjoy the grand tradition of a high tea surrounded by elegance and charm with spectacular views of the Megalong Valley. Later we take a guided tour of the Casino Lobby, Majestic Ballroom and Pavillion. We finish off our afternoon visiting the iconic Three Sisters at Echo Point Look-out.
A leisurely start to the day before we depart for Sydney! Step back in time and immerse yourself into the fascinating world of fire and firefighting at The Museum of Fire, home to Australia’s largest collection of Fire Brigade vehicles and memorabilia. We then enjoy a leisurely lunch on the Manly waterfront before making our way into the city. Tonight, we board the Sydney Showboat for a magical 3-course dinner cruise and cabaret show featuring dancers, singers and magicians. Breathe in the fresh open air and take a stroll on the spacious deck for fantastic views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.
Enjoy a farewell breakfast before boarding a local operator’s coach where the coach captain will give an interesting gossip tour of some Sydney’s iconic area’s such as Kings Cross; Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge; visit the famous Bondi Beach; stroll around The Rocks; and take in the views from Mrs Macquarie’s Point. We are then transferred to the airport for our respective flights home.

Our coach tours have a baggage restriction of 17kg per person (regardless of flight and rail allowances) due to our Occupational Health & Safety standards. You can also bring one small, soft carry-on bag not exceeding 30cm wide, 30cm high, and 15cm thick that may be stowed in the overhead compartment.

Our Gold Class coaches have a seat capacity of between 44 and 46, but we cap Gold Class tours at 40 guests per tour. Our Diamond Class tours have a capacity of just 26 guests.
